A Brief History of Mendenhall Equipment Company
|
|
1958 |
Lee B. Mendenhall founded Mendenhall Equipment. Lee had a small dry cleaning
business named "University Cleaners" in Provo, Utah, where he ran Mendenhall Equipment
Company. |
|
1972 |
Mendenhall Equipment became incorporated. |
|
1976 |
Lee sold Mendenhall Equipment to Dave Call and Dana Jeppson who
decided to move the business to Bountiful, Utah, where it stayed until the spring
of 1983. |
|
1983 |
Mendenhall Equipment moved to Centerville, Utah, where they grew to be one of the
largest Commercial Laundry & Dry Cleaning suppliers in the West.
At the Centerville location the company went through its share of interesting situations.
Right from the start, Mendenhall was lucky to escape the floods of 1983. Mendenhall
had also been shot at from a passing car on the freeway. The bullet went through their wall, over
the secretary's desk, and into the office supply closet where it was later discovered
lodged into a roll of recepit ribbon used on the typical adding machine. This fortunately happened over a weekend when no one was in the building. |
|
1998 |
Dave Call's interest in Mendenhall Equipment Co. was purchased by Dana Jeppson and Neil Moyes. The company
continued to provide top quality laundry and dry cleaning equipment to a wide range of businesses ranging from the small
single top load washer to the large automated projects. |
|
2004 |
In the spring of 2004 Dana and Neil moved Mendenhall Equipment to a new
buliding located in North Salt Lake, Utah. Menhenhall simply outgrew
the old building and needed to have more space in order to better serve their customers. |
|
1958 - present |
Mendenhall Equipment Company is committed to providing the highest quality equipment, service and parts. |
